9/12 is Right Around the Corner, Enter the “Meet Me in D.C.” Video Contest Today

Please read through the following rules and frequently asked questions if you are interested in participating in our “Meet Me in D.C.” video competition.

If you have any additional questions, please submit them to jeboch@freedomworks.org.

What should I make a video about?

Tell the world why you are joining the 9/12 March on Washington. This is your chance to talk about the importance of the Tea Party movement and what you are doing to spread the message of freedom. Encourage others to meet you in the nation’s capital in September to remind lawmakers that we send them to Washington to protect our freedoms, not to auction them off:

Who is eligible?

Unless you are a paid employee of FreedomWorks, you are eligible. There are no other restrictions.

How long should entries be?

We recommend a compelling 2-3 minute video.

What style is most appropriate?

In the spirit of celebrating freedom, we encourage you to be as creative as possible and use any style you would like. Videos will be evaluated on how well they help motivate others to participate in the March on Washington.

When is the contest deadline?

All entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM on August 31, 2009.

How do I submit my entry?

Entries must be emailed to jeboch@freedomworks.org.

How many times may I enter the contest?

You may submit as many videos telling as many different stories as you would like.

What will I win?

Of course, the most important question of all. In addition to the joys of publicity, first prize will win $500, second and third place will each receive a new hand-held video camera.

When will I be notified?

Winners will be notified by September 7, 2009 and then publicly recognized during the 9/12 March on Washington.

What will you do with the videos?

We’ll be hosting the best ones on our website to demonstrate the broad appeal of freedom and the enthusiasm of grassroots activists nationwide.

What are the other conditions I should be aware of?
