The President and Congress Disregard their Oath – “… preserve, protect and defend the Constitution …”

Democracy and Power 101: Government is power When protesting the expansion of federal power, Thomas Jefferson drafted the Declaration and Protest of Virginia and stated that rupture from the Union would be a calamity. North Carolina Supports Fracking

Energy costs in the US have been sky rocketing recently due to over-regulation by the federal government and the ever decreasing value of the dollar. Thankfully, there are options to lower the cost of energy such as fracking, the process of extracting natural gas from shale rock. More importantly, 75% of North Carolinian voters support increased access to domestic oil and natural gas resources including energy from shale.

FreedomWorks Identifies House Legislators Blocking Education Reform in Mississippi

Don't Let These Representatives Kill Charter Bill SB 2401 in Mississippi

Urgent Action NeededSB 2401, which would establish charter schools in the state, recently passed the Senate, but now it must pass the House. Charter schools operate outside of the education establishment, which means they can institute a dynamic curriculum that meets the needs of individual students. Unfortunately, some House members have chosen to ignore the facts and are instead going to great lengths to prevent this reform from taking place.

House Passes Ryan’s Budget 228-191, Rejects Obama’s 0-414

Today, the House passed a budget -- something Senate Democrats haven’t bothered to do in nearly three years (1,065 days, to be exact). The budget, drafted by House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan, resembles last year’s Ryan budget. It now goes to the Senate, where Harry Reid and his fellow Democrats aren’t likely to take it up.  The House also voted on President Obama’s budget. Want to guess how many votes it got? Zero. That’s right. No one voted for it, not even the Democrats. Ouch. That’s gotta hurt.
