Murkowski Resolution Update

It looks like the long-awaited Murkowski Resolution of Disapproval will be up for vote shortly.  Many readers have taken action to urge their Senators to cosponsor the bill (if you haven't, do so here) and these efforts have helped bring the bipartisan support up to 41 cosponsors.

Senator Bernard Sanders (I-VT) first introduced an amendment to Senator Dodd’s Restoring American Financial Stability Act requiring that the Government Accountability Office audit the Federal Reserve on a regular basis. Labor Department: Unemployment Rate Increased to 9.9 Percent in April

According to the newly released Labor Department’s jobs report, the unemployment rate increased for the first time in three months to 9.9 percent in April. In the past three previous months the unemployment rate has held steady at 9.7 percent.
