Fannie and Freddie: Playing With a Stacked Deck

As recently as February of this year, Russian officials cleared the way for two of its sovereign wealth funds, the Reserve Fund and National Wellbeing Fund, to invest in various foreign bonds, including those issued by the twin towers of American residential finance, Fannie and Freddie. "The prospect for every GSE bond clearly states that it is not backed by the United States government," says Matt Kibbe, president of FreedomWorks. "That's why investors holding agency bonds already receive a significant risk premium over Treasuries."

Elites Seek Control Over Rising Cashless Society

The terrorists in the federal government are continuing their push to implement a cashless economic enslavement system. According to a legislative notice from the U.S. Senate, a new Housing Bill (HR 3221) contains a provision that will require nearly every online credit card transaction to be reported directly to the Internal Revenue Service. The insanity of this is obvious and it is nothing more than a way to give the government a means to track and trace as many private transactions as humanly possible. Previously, Visa’s CEO has stated that it is their goal to establish a cashless society by the year 2012. As technology increases, a greater number of businesses are accepting credit card payments. It wasn’t too long ago that fast food restaurants wouldn’t accept anything but cash for payment, now almost all of them accept credit cards. We are also starting to see biometrics utilized as a way to facilitate transactions. The bottom line is that there is an agenda at play to setup a cashless system that will allow the elite to take total control over the global economy. These people want to eliminate privacy in mutual exchanges and this is another step in doing just that.

New Petition Drive Against North Carolina Sin Taxes

ASHEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA. Please help spread the word against new proposed taxes on cigarettes and alcoholic drinks. The North Carolina legislature is considering ways to expand its revenue base by imposing so-called "sin taxes" on North Carolinians. We believe that people should be free to make their own personal choices, and the state should not decide which consumer goods are "sinful" and which are not. Also, the government should stop spending on wasteful programs and projects, and then it would not "need" extra revenue. We don't need new taxes, we don't want them and we don't want the state government to tell us how to live our lives. Help us spread opposition to this proposal by downloading a copy of the petition and getting your friends and family to make a strong statement against "sin taxes" in North Carolina. Thank you!

FreedomWorks Joins Coalition Letter Against New Housing Trust Fund

July 21, 2008 Dear President Bush: Like all Americans, we are deeply concerned about the crisis in our financial markets. This is why we urge you to stand by your earlier statement and veto any bill that creates an “affordable housing trust fund” that would divert funds from the revenues of federal housing entities to at best, repetitive, and at worst, dubious purposes
