FreedomWorks PAC: Fearless as Ever

Our most recent round of endorsements has led some to accuse us of abandoning our bold, anti-establishment principles in favor of easy victories and low-risk candidates. It’s a baseless charge, which, as usual, displays an ignorance of how we operate and what we stand for.

Senator Rand Paul and FreedomWorks Offer President Obama Lawsuit Settlement Option

WASHINGTON, DC – Earlier this week, President Obama indicated that he would like to end the collection of metadata by the National Security Agency. Rand Paul and FreedomWorks are currently plaintiffs in Federal District Court over this issue. While the White House has indicated that new legislation is needed to end mass data collection, a court settlement would put an immediate halt to this illegal and unconstitutional activity.

Mark Udall wants feds to get YOU in shape!

A lot of important things were happening in 2008. Banks were failing, jobs were being lost, and our economy was about to be pushed off a cliff. The problems our country faced in 2008 were grave, and have had lasting consequences even to this day. Luckily, while voters, politicians, and pundits wasted their time trying to select new leaders of government to tackle these problems, then-Congressman Mark Udall saw something different. In the midst of economy downturn, Congressman Udall and his taxpayer-funded congressional staff felt the best use of their time and resources was to write a bill to get Americans to stand up and actually do something! Literally, something—anything actually that made a person sweat. And they wanted the government to design a program and devote resources promoting it.

Rangel’s Attack on Tea Party Shows He is Cracking Under the Pressure of Emerging Primary Loss

It sure looks like somebody forgot to lock the Congressional office door allowing Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY) to escape.

Courts May Stop Illegal ObamaCare Taxes and Subsidies
America may be on the verge of a giant tax cut. A tax increase created illegally by the Obama IRS when interpreting Obamacare may come to an end, struck down as an unconstitutional overreach. Oral arguments Tuesday in Halbig v Sebelius showed hopeful signs for Obamacare opponents.

The Dictatorial Senate

Back in November, when Harry Reid’s employed the nuclear option to allow judicial nominees to be confirmed with a simple majority vote, commentators on both sides of the political spectrum had plenty to say about the move. On the right, Reid was criticized for single-handedly uprooting years of Senate tradition and for robbing the minority party of their right to debate. On the left, Reid’s actions were praised as greasing the wheels of government to actually get things accomplished in the face of intractable Republican opposition. Supporters of Reid appealed to a sense of Democracy, arguing that majority should rule and that the sixty-vote threshold is an arcane relic of a different time.
