Sign the Petition to Oppose Gov. Crist's Global Warming Mandates

Most people who voted for Nancy Pelosi expected to get extreme left-wing public policy. But when people heard Charlie Crist’s promises to follow in the conservative legacy of Jeb Bush and voted for him to be governor of Florida, they didn't expect to get Nancy Pelosi.

Yet just months into office, that's exactly what Gov. Crist is becoming, by embracing the Nancy Pelosi agenda on global warming. It's a series of mandates on Florida businesses and citizens that will drive up energy costs without benefiting the environment. Even worse, Gov. Crist is advancing the Pelosi agenda through decree, without a vote in the state legislature.

The Florida Speaker of the House, Rep. Marco Rubio, argues that the governor's plan is the wrong approach: "Instead of adopting measures that will have little if any impact on our environment and make life in Florida more expensive, we need a strategy that encourages environmental conservation, fuel efficiency, and energy diversity, while continuing to stimulate our economy."

August Campaign: Oppose Gov. Crist's Global Warming Mandates

WHEREAS: Florida Governor Charlie Crist is proposing a number of economically harmful measures in an effort to pander to environmentalists and the liberal media on the issue of global warming.

WHEREAS: These various measures would be all economic pain for no environmental gain.

WHEREAS: Crist was elected Governor last fall running as a conservative and with conservative support, we are especially disappointed that one of his first acts is to embrace the Nancy Pelosi global warming agenda and to expand the power of the state.

BE IT RESOVED: That Governor Charlie Crist should end his efforts to appease the far left and the liberal media, and should instead work toward reasonable and responsible energy policy that increases supply and reduces prices.

Global warming is not as a result of Humans. 90 percent of the global warming is by nature, let it play itself out. John Lee	Lee, FL	April 21, 2008	If global warming is a problem then why has the sea tempatures been cooling for the last five years. NASA has found that the models are wrong. They incorrectly state that clouds have a warming effect when they have a cooling effect. Do not use our tax money on this scam.
