Support the American Taxpayers' Bill of Rights: Sign the Petition

May Campaign: Support the American Taxpayers' Bill of Rights

FreedomWorks members sign a petition.

Because federal spending and the bureaucracy are out of control, an American Taxpayers’ Bill of Rights is necessary to bring fiscal responsibility to Washington, D.C. We applaud the Republican Study Committee (RSC) for advancing this proposal that would force government to live within its means with these 4 crucial components:

  1. Spending caps to stop out of control budget growth.
  2.  Preserving Social Security money just for Social Security, not for a Congressional slush fund.
  3.  Sun-setting the entire federal tax code to hold budgets accountable to outcomes.
  4.  A balanced budget without raising taxes.

As concerned American taxpayers, we hereby sign this petition urging those seeking our country’s highest office to act responsibly by publicly endorsing the RSC’s American Taxpayer Bill of Rights.

We will deliver the petition to U.S. Presidential Candidates!

Donald RashSOUTHAVEN, MSMay 10, 2008Stop playing class warfare, stop the nonsense rhetoric that you are spewing, and do something real and right. Abolish the I.R.S. as we know and tear Washington down to it's effective Constitutional limits. Doing away with the rediculous tax code would be a good start. Politicians play the class warfare game all the time but when it comes to changing the tax code to something fair such as the "Flat Tax", you suddenly go silent. Could it be that you really don't want taxes to be simple so as to contunue deluding the public with your dishonest nonsense? Clinton, mind your own business and stay out of my wallet. Obama, stop promising to spend money that is not yours to spend. McCain, show that you really are a maverick and abolish the tax code.
