An enormous domestic supply of clean burning natural gas can be safely and efficiently produced right here on U.S. soil. That's why FreedomWorks is urging all concerned Americans to submit comments to the Department of Interior in support of a new Proposed Action to better utilize existing production in the Pinedale Anticline in Wyoming. Consider:

This field - the 3rd largest in the US - could supply 10 million homes with energy for 30 years.
According to the Bureau of Land Management, estimated royalties of the area's natural gas reserves equal $16 billion, half of which would go to the State of Wyoming and the other half to the federal government.
The Proposed Action leaves 92 percent of the Pinedale Anticline untouched.

America urgently needs to develop clean energy resources here at home, such as Wyoming's abundant natural gas fields.  That's why I strongly support the Proposed Action to conduct limited year-round production in Wyoming's Pinedale Anticline Project Area.  The government estimates that the Pinedale Anticline is the third largest gas field in the United States, with enough clean-burning natural gas to supply ten million homes annually for more than 30 years.

There is already natural gas production in the Pinedale Anticline, and the new Proposed Action plan would better utilize these existing operations, benefiting the environment, consumers, and our economy, while reducing America's dependence on foreign sources of energy.

With modern technology, we can further develop Wyoming's energy resources in an environmentally responsible manner.  Under the Proposed Action, 92 percent of the Pinedale Anticline will be left undisturbed by natural gas development. And natural gas itself is a clean source of energy that is in high demand for use in clean-burning city buses and modern power plants.

What's more, domestic natural gas development in Pinedale will have a positive impact on the local and regional economy because it will create a year-round workforce in this part of Wyoming.  The plan will also generate billions in new royalty payments for the state and federal government, taking some burden off of the taxpayer.

Let's keep America moving forward.  As a FreedomWorks member, I support this Proposed Action, which responsibly balances the needs of our economy and our environment.
