April 15th Tax Day Protests only 14 days away!
We are only 14 days away from tax day, the day when you pay the federal and state governments so that they can waste your money on their boondoggles, schemes, pork barrel spending and other projects. Taxpayers have been outraged at the level of taxation in this country, but what really gets us mad is the fact that most of these tax dollars are wasted, rather than spent on constitutionally sanctioned government activities.
Just like 2009, this year we expect hundreds of tax day protests to take place all over the country. There are events being planned in big cities and small towns, up and down the coasts, in the heartland and in our deserts. While the geography may be varied, the message is consistent: stop the growth of the federal government!
You can be a part of this movement, and this historic day, by finding a local event here. If you'd like to join us in Washington for a big tax day protest at the Washington Monument click here for the details. We plan to start the day with a Liberty Summit at the Ronald Reagan building in DC, then head over to the Hill for some grassroots lobbying, and then head over to the Washington Monument around 6:00pm for the protest. It's going to be a great day, and you don't want to miss it!
Wherever you live, April 15th presents an opportunity to speak out against the $12 trillion national debt, deficit spending, the bailouts, Obamacare, cap and tax and the wasteful spending taking place in state capitals and in Washington. Please join us and add your voice to the growing chorus for lower taxes, less government and more freedom!
