Pennsylvania Senate Education Committee Passes SB1
The Pennsylvania state senate's education committee just passed SB1 - the school choice bill - by a bipartisan 9-2 vote. FreedomWorks has been running an aggressive campaign for school choice since the very first day of session and is excited to see that the bill is now well on its way to the full senate for an up or down vote on Wednesday, Oct. 26th.
This bill will save children from failing and often violent government schools in Pennsylvania, by giving them an opportunity to go to a different school of their choice. It will empower parents and children in the worst schools in the state to make decisions that could change their lives forever. FreedomWorks is proud to support SB1 and the opportunity scholarships that it creates for such students.
