Pictures from the July 4th DC Tea Party

I just walked over from Upper Senate Park to my office to upload the pictures from the DC Tea Party held today in Washington. There were probably a thousand people there, although I'm not great at estimating crowd sizes.

Below are some pictures from the event. People were fired up and ready to take on socialized medicine. The CNN crew that came to cover the event was not well received. Many were angry at CNN's coverage of the tea parties, the Honduran situation and never-ending Michael Jackson coverage.

There were some great signs there, and a sea of "Don't Tread on Me" Gadsen flags. Congrats to Patrick Beck and Lisa Miller for putting on an outstanding event!

UPDATE: CNN says 2000 people showed up today.

America is such a great example of freedom and democracy to so many parts of the world. We fly so many State Flag that point to the history and freedom of the United States. After a couple hours of goggling and trying some solutions with no luck, I came to this site... and after trying the little program script, the problems where gone!!! Both computers are running smotly now... and the audio is again a charm. I spended some more time reading the whole think to understand what was going on and how to prevent it from happening again. Yes, the issue is widespread. Sooner or later every computer running the Windows IDE drivers will develop it, if the computer is used sufficiently. Engineering degree AND Law degree

We had about 300 in Plains, Ga. though the nearby media reporter that we numbered 200 protestors. Maybe because they only came briefly and only about 200 were there when they took one picture. It was the 2nd turn out. No Jimmy Carter did not show up. It was my 1st Tea Party and it will not be my last. I have been emailing folks and putting it on Facebook. Anything to tell people where to get information to get started. I read Glenn Beck's book called Common Sense and I, too, was caught in the I can't do anything. Well, I am waking up and I have to try because I had children and grandchildren. This has to move forward. It can start with one person and grow. Don't let someone try to tell you it can't be done. Phones calls, emails, letters and Tea Parties at the Representative and Senators offices. They are our public servants. They chose to be in that position as did the President...who celebrated July 4th in Cairo, Eygpt?
