Republican Senator John Cornyn boo'd at Austin Tea Party
At yesterday's Austin Tea Party at the state capitol, politicians who voted for TARP were not welcome. Witness the reception of Republican Senator (and RINO-endorser) John Cornyn. The message for politicians? People are watching your votes carefully, and if you vote for big government while trying to convince us that you are for limited government, the people will not buy it. Cornyn tried to criticize Washington, but the people in Austin were well aware that Cornyn had become part of the problem.

Incumbent Politicians are all alike, they make great promises in order to get elected but personal ambitions pull them far away from those ideals shared by voters who put them in office. Suprisingly the vast majority of incumbent politicians have little to show for their time served in office. We the people must realize that politicians will never enact term limits, lower taxes or champion smaller government because these things would be self defeating politically. Their personal agenda in office is to get themselves and their chronies elected & re-elected in order to live an elite lifestyle off of the system while receiving untold perks from special interest. Instead of serving their constituents, these people become self serving and deserve to be treated in the harshest of ways by members of the voting public.
It will only take three election cycles to completely change every member of both chambers of the Legislative and Executive branches, which in effect is the peoples only choice for term limits. Regain the power of and for the people; vote all incumbents out in 2010 and beyond. Even if you must vote for the opposition, it will send a strong message to those elected just who they must answer to. This will also go very far in limiting special interest influence in the governing process.
