Tea Parties in Stamford, Monroe and Buffalo

By Brendan Steinhauser on March 28, 2009

Today there were tea parties in Stamford, CT and Buffalo, NY. And some activists in Monroe, WA sent me a video of their protest from a couple of weeks ago. There are so many protests going on around the country leading up to tax day on April 15th that it's hard to keep up with them. This is a good sign for the limited government movement in America, though. People are finally coming out of their homes and taking to the streets to protest the bad policies coming out of state capitals and Washington, D.C.

Here is the video from Monroe, WA.

And I just came across this news video from West Virginia. HUNDREDS of people showed up in the small town of Beckley, West Virginia. The town's population is 16,000, so the proportion of citizens that came out to protest is huge. Folks, this is just another sign that the outrage against government spending and taxes is real, it's widespread and it's growing. Great job, Beckley patriots!

UPDATE ON CANCELLED TEA PARTY: The Cape Coral, FL Tea Party scheduled for April 1st was canceled because the local government feared that 500 people would show up. Well, I'm glad to announce that FreedomWorks will pick up the ball and make sure this event happens in Cape Coral, as planned. Local activist Mary Rakovich is organizing the tea party there, and is asking everyone to show up and support her effort! Details will be posted on our interactive map when we get them.
