American citizens appeal ObamaCare

The American people have come together in an attempt to stop ObamaCare. They feel not only is it a horrible idea, but that it’s extremely unconstitutional. A website was created to rally as many citizens as possible to support a lawsuit filed against the President to overturn the new bill.

The site represents almost 32,000 Americans who have signed up in an effort to overturn ObamaCare in congress. They feel that the states should decide their own health care laws as opposed to the federal government. These citizens feel that the Constitution has been ignored time and time again and are doing everything in their power to bring its ideas back to congress. The three claims made in the complaint are clearly laid out on the website:

1. Abuse of Authority – The actions of the Defendants are not within the scope of authority granted them by the U.S. Constitution.
2. Violation of 10th Amendment – The actions of the Defendants violate the explicit limitations in the 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
3. Breach of Oath of Office – The actions of the Defendants represent a breach of the Defendants’ duties contained within their oaths of office to protect and defend the U.S. Constitution.

Still in the early stages of its appeal, the case against ObamaCare shows how upset the citizens of the Unites States have become. The significance lies in how many people will stand up and fight for the rights of the Constitution after it has been abused by the President and Congress.
