Attorney General Butterworth Abusing Legal System

On Wednesday, hundreds of activists will join Florida Citizens for a Sound Economy to hold a press conference on the steps of the state capitol to shed light on Florida State Attorney General Bob Butterworth’s frivolous lawsuit that promises to enrich trial lawyers, raising costs for consumers and taxpayers.

“Butterworth is abusing his position and clogging Florida’s civil courts with frivolous lawsuits that waste tax dollars and limit the ability of individuals with real grievances to get justice within the court system,” said Florida CSE Director Slade O’Brien.

The antitrust case is lawsuit abuse. Through this lawsuit, Butterworth is picking which companies will succeed in the technology marketplace.

Being held in conjunction with the press conference is Florida CSE Day at the Capitol, where for two days hundreds of Florida CSE grassroots volunteers will join in visits with their state legislators, and capitol and Governor’s Mansion tours. Speaker Designate Tom Feeney will speak to members in the House Chambers. For more information, contact Slade O’Brien at 561-289-8823.
