Bleach and Ammonia to Ward Off Home Invaders?

According to the latest Project Veritas investigation, “you’re on your own” in the event of a home invasion. James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas released a new investigation this morning.  Undercover journalists visited police departments from North Carolina to New York and asked how they should defend themselves in the event an armed break in.

“Go get some bleach. Go get ammonia,” one officer instructed. Yet another officer instructed the undercover journalist to, “lock yourself in a bedroom” and “start yelling and screaming.”

Vice President Joe Biden recently advised Americans to, “get a shotgun” for home protection. But when asked whether or not they should follow the Vice President’s advice, law enforcement officials told the undercover journalists they would be arrested for doing so.

Milwaukee County Sheriff, David Clarke also makes an appearance in Project Veritas’ latest investigation. An outspoken gun rights advocate, Sheriff Clarke agreed with the findings of the investigation and confirms, “you’re on your own.”  “That stuff’s crazy,” Clarke said, referring to the suggestions other law enforcement officials made for self protection.  In the full interview with Sheriff Clarke, he makes a strong Constitutional case for self protection as personal responsibility.

Project Veritas’ last investigation targeted reporters who published the names and adresses of gun owning citizens. Within days of the investigation’s release, The Journal News removed the list.
