Deficit news (in case you missed it)

Last week, the Administration leaked news of a reduced 2009-2010 budget deficit estimate (even though the reduction was basically smoke and mirrors) during a mid-week morning.  Then they tried to bury the real news of the week, that the 10-year budget estimate is actually being increased by more than 25% to over $9 trillion.  No, that’s not a typo.

The deficits and the way the Administration handled the news are (in my opinion) an interesting and very important story…and my editors at Human Events agreed, which is why my article on the subject ran near the top of today’s stories at HumanEvents.com.
