DISCLOSE Act Passes: Time to Turn Up the Heat on the Senate

We just received word that regretfully the DISCLOSE Act passed.  To see who did what, go to the roll call votes here.  As was noted yesterday, to cover the butts of any uncertain legislators, Reid has promised the Senate will take this up.  The DISCLOSE Act action center has been updated so that you can immediately turn your ire on the other chamber.

Congressman Van Hollen (D-MD) was only a few letters off of the truth when it came to naming this act.  “Democracy is Strengthened by Casting Light on Spending in Elections (DISCLOSE)” is only five letters away from “Democrats Are Strengthened…” and much closer to the heart and soul of this bill that is a massive gift to the unions.  I guess if they can’t have card check, a free speech double standard that hurts the tea party, the biggest threat to their way of life, this fall is the next best thing.

If you’re looking for some good talking points when you call your Senators, the Republican Study Committee put out a handy guide to all that is bad about the DISCLOSE Act.  You can find it here.
