FreedomWorks Activists Call on Senators to Support Rand and End Mass Surveillance

Washington, D.C. – FreedomWorks activists call on their senators to end mass surveillance and support Sen. Rand Paul’s filibuster. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has called for a clean reauthorization of expiring sections of the PATRIOT Act, to include Section 215 which allows for bulk data collection.

FreedomWorks president Matt Kibbe commented: “Sen. Rand Paul is a champion in the fight against government mass surveillance. That is why we joined together to sue the NSA to stop the warrantless collection of cellphone records. We are proud to support his filibuster and join with our activists in asking all Senators to end the warrantless spying on American citizens.”
