FreedomWorks Activists Send 650,000+ Messages to Congress for a Free and Open Internet

FreedomWorks’ Digital Day of Action was a huge success, driving over 650,000 messages to senate offices, focusing on the following senators:

  • Sen. Susan Collins (ME),
  • Sen. John Kennedy (LA),
  • Sen. Lisa Murkowski (AK),
  • Sen. Dean Heller (NV),
  • Sen. Dan Sullivan (AK), and
  • Sen. Cory Gardner (CO).

FreedomWorks President Adam Brandon made the following comment:

“Our activists made it crystal clear that they do not want to return to the Obama-era regulations that decrease investment in infrastructure and technological advances. They want Internet service providers to remain under the light touch regulation that resulted in the dramatic improvement, expansion, and affordability of today.

“This is a quintessential FreedomWorks effort. Few if any other organization on the right can drive so much action on such a budget. These efforts are only possible because of our amazing community.”

FreedomWorks live streams and videos promoting a free and open Internet and educating the public on the truth of the heavy-handed regulations known as “net neutrality” received more than 1,000,000 views.

FreedomWorks has been known as a grassroots organization from the beginning. Today shows that FreedomWorks can not only drive traditional grassroots action, but that it can translate online. FreedomWorks is committed to online activism to apply pressure to members of Congress to support less government, lower taxes, and more economic freedom.
