Press Release

FreedomWorks and Rep. Rod Blum to Host Iowa Presidential Summit

FreedomWorks and Congressman Rod Blum (IA-1) announced the Rising Tide Summit for grassroots activists to engage with presidential candidates on December 5th, 2015. Invitations are going out to every major party candidate polling above one percent nationally in August.

Congressman Rod Blum commented:

"FreedomWorks has millions of activists across the country, and I am proud to partner with them to host presidential candidates in Iowa. The Rising Tide Summit is a great opportunity for all the candidates to talk directly with the grassroots activists who will be making the phone calls and going door to door this election cycle. Promoting robust economic growth that lifts up all Americans is my top priority, and I am looking forward to hearing the candidates' ideas and proposals."

FreedomWorks Senior Economic Contributor Stephen Moore added:

"We need a president with an economic agenda to put all Americans back to work and to give our workers a raise. That means all the presidential candidates must focus on getting our economy to 4 to 5 percent growth. Grassroots supporters in Iowa and across the country want to know how each candidate is going to get us back on track to full employment and restoration of the American dream. We look forward to hosting the candidates to discuss their plans to grow our economy in Cedar Rapids and America."
