FreedomWorks Continues Lone Star Tour in Dallas

On December 13, FreedomWorks was delighted to sponsor an evening event at Outlaw Barbecue in Grand Prairie, Texas.

The meeting was the second in our Lone Star Tour, comprised of three such events in three days across Texas. The Grand Prairie event was organized by local activist Mary Bosworth. Mary is a member of the Dallas Tea Party, on the Executive Committee of the Casa Linda Tea Party, and the founder of Red, White, and True Texans. Jerry Madden with the Texas Public Policy Foundation kicked off the meeting, speaking about criminal justice reform. Jerry, a Texas state legislator for thirty years, worked on the original justice reform legislation in Texas.

Together, we gave a recap of reform efforts during the last Texas legislative session and I spoke on specific plans for the upcoming session. FreedomWorks and the Texas Public Policy Foundation are partners in justice reform efforts. I was pleased to share information about FreedomWorks; who we are and what we do, our signature initiatives and our upcoming action items. I was pleased to introduce FreedomWorks Senior Fellow, Reverend C.L. Bryant, who gave a talk that activists called “truly inspiring.”

A special thanks to Mary Bosworth for organizing this informative event.
