FreedomWorks Director of Grassroots Whitney Neal to Testify Against Common Core in Delaware

WHAT: FreedomWorks Director of Grassroots and former Texas middle school History Department Director Whitney Neal will testify as an expert witness before the Cape Henlopen School District Board of Education meeting in opposition to Common Core, a national takeover of education curriculum.

WHEN: Thursday, June 13th, 2013 at 7:00pm ET. The meeting begins at 7pm; Neal’s testimony is the 18th item on the agenda.

WHERE: The Beacon Middle School Cafeteria, 19483 John J Williams Highway, Lewes, DE 19958.

WHY: FreedomWorks believes that a national takeover of education curriculum hurts students, teachers, and families. Whitney Neal has been a leading voice on the issue of Common Core, and has called out Delaware Governor Jack Markell for his pattern of misinformation surrounding the program, and his decision to adopt Common Core Standards in exchange for the opportunity to receive federal stimulus dollars.
