FreedomWorks Foundation on Neomi Rao’s Confirmation

Following the confirmation of Neomi Roa for the administrator of the Office for Regulatory Affairs, FreedomWorks Foundation program manager Patrick Hedger released the following statement:

The confirmation of Neomi Rao as administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) is perhaps the most exciting moment thus far in the effort to combat excessive regulation emanating from Washington, DC’s administrative state.

As founder of the Center for the Study of the Administrative State at Antonin Scalia Law School, it would be a huge understatement to say Administrator Rao wrote the book on the proper Constitutional balance of regulatory power between Congress and the bureaucracy. She is the premier expert in the field of studying and developing policies to reign in regulatory red tape.

With FreedomWorks Foundation’s growing commitment to regulatory reform via our Regulatory Action Center, we’re delighted that Neomi Rao has been confirmed to lead OIRA and look forward to supporting her efforts in spearheading the Trump administration’s regulatory reform agenda.
