FreedomWorks Reacts to the Senate’s Rejection of Devastating EPA Regulations

Following the Senate’s rejection of the Environmental Protection Agency’s devastating and unreasonable anti-coal regulations, FreedomWorks CEO Adam Brandon commented:

“It’s great to see Congress finally reasserting itself as the lawmaking branch of the federal government. This EPA rule will have a tremendously harmful impact on our economy. These regulations will cost the economy more than $8 billion and lead to the loss of tens of thousands of jobs. We need fewer restrictive regulations that appeal to only radical environmentalists and more pro-growth policies that allow all sectors of our economy, including energy, to thrive and lead to prosperity for all Americans.”

In early November, FreedomWorks issued a letter of support for the resolutions disapproving of the EPA’s anti-coal regulations.

FreedomWorks aims to educate, build, and mobilize the largest network of activists advocating the principles of smaller government, lower taxes, free markets, personal liberty and the rule of law. For more information, please visit www.FreedomWorks.org or contact Jason Pye at JPye@FreedomWorks.org.
