FreedomWorks On The Road With Presidential Hopeful Mitt Romney

SOUTH CAROLINA.  On February 22, FreedomWorks activists from North and South Carolina attended the annual president’s day reception and banquet sponsored by the Spartanburg County Republican Party.  The evening event, themed “The Presidency…An Olympian Task”, featured 2008 Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney as the keynote speaker. Mr. Romney was introduced by U.S. Senator, Jim DeMint who activists thanked for his support of our principles.

FreedomWorks activists met with Mr. Romney to share our “2007 Freedom Agenda” of lower taxes and less government.  Mr. Romney spoke passionately about his agreement with our belief in School Choice and enjoyed signing one of our “School Choice – Because Parents Know Best” stickers.

The event, attended by over 600 conservative activists, was also the venue for an issues poll allowing activist the opportunity to prioritize federal issues.

Thank you to the Spartanburg County Republican Party for including FreedomWorks in this important event.
