FreedomWorks Supports Mike Lee’s Run for Senate Leadership Post

FreedomWorks today announced its support for Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) in his bid for the chairmanship of the Senate Republican Policy Committee, one of the top leadership posts in the party’s conference. Lee, who has served in the upper chamber since 2011, has a 100 percent lifetime score on FreedomWorks’ Congressional Scorecard.

“Republicans must be mindful that we need to advance sound policies grounded in constitutional and limited government principles. Senator Lee has pursued a conservative reform agenda that appeals to Americans from all walks of life. His agenda promotes pro-growth policies, upward mobility, ends crony capitalism, reforms the justice system, and protects our precious freedoms,” said FreedomWorks CEO Adam Brandon. “We could not be more excited that Senator Lee is seeking this post. If he is elected, it would be a tremendous boost to grassroots conservative activists across the country and a sign that Senate Republicans are ready to pursue a bold policy agenda.”

FreedomWorks aims to educate, build, and mobilize the largest network of activists advocating the principles of smaller government, lower taxes, free markets, personal liberty and the rule of law. For more information, please visit www.FreedomWorks.org or contact Jason Pye at JPye@freedomworks.org.
