FreedomWorks Supports State Attorneys General Lawsuit Against EPA Anti-Coal Regulations

Following the announcement of a lawsuit filed two-dozen state attorneys general against the Environmental Protection Agency’s economically destructive anti-coal regulations, FreedomWorks CEO Adam Brandon commented:

"The EPA’s anti-coal regulations don’t accomplish what their supporters claim, but are instead a partisan attack on one of America’s strongest industries that will increase our dependence on foreign oil and could cost energy companies and consumers as much as $73 billion annually."

"Unelected bureaucrats have emerged as one of the greatest threats to economic growth and prosperity, and Congress is to blame. For far too long, lawmakers have neglected their duties, deferred to the executive branch, and allowed the regulatory state – this unconstitutional fourth branch of the federal government – to grow and promulgate rules that negatively impact Americans. Lawmakers must step up and reclaim their constitutional role as the lawmaking branch of the federal government."
