THE PEOPLE’S AGENDA: North Carolina Citizens for a Sound Economy will host their annual CSE Day at the Capitol in Raleigh Wednesday, with speakers and activists from around the state advocating lower taxes, less government and “The People’s Agenda” to the legislature. Activities include meetings with legislators, lunch, an ice cream social and an awards ceremony. Registration is $ 25. PICTURE THIS: A culmination of a weeklong exhibition of images by some of North Carolina’s most talented photographers and artists will be held Saturday at Exploris, at 201 E. Hargett St. in downtown Raleigh. Guests will enjoy a silent and live auction featuring a variety of items such as airline tickets and sporting events packages, beverages and hors d’oeuvres from 8 to 11 p.m. and dance to music by the Big Bertha Band. Tickets are $ 35 per person in advance or $ 40 per person at the door. Proceeds go to Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina. A percentage of photographers and artists’ sales will be donated to the organization.

‘NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND’: The State Board of Education will meet at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in the seventh-floor board room of the Education Building at 301 N. Wilmington St. in Raleigh.
