Grassroots Powerhouse Continues to Grow

FreedomWorks is pleased to welcome Lesley Albanese, who joins the national grassroots advocacy organization as Vice President for Development. Ms. Albanese is a nine year veteran of the Cato Institute. For the past four years, Lesley served as the Director of External Affairs and member of the senior management team of the Cato Institute. Her responsibilities included development strategy, donor relations and special events.

Ms. Albanese will bring her experience and energy to the institution, supporting FreedomWorks’ continued growth as the grassroots voice for lower taxes, less government and more freedom in America. Ms. Albanese is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and holds an MBA from Johns Hopkins University.

Lesley Albanese commented, “Joining this organization is a great opportunity to contribute to a critical part of the limited government movement. By training and mobilizing citizens around the ideas of freedom, FreedomWorks translates ideas into citizen action and real policy change. We have a bright future and an important mission in the on-going battle to check the growth of big government. I look forward to helping expand freedom through grassroots activism across the country.”

FreedomWorks President Matt Kibbe added, “We’re excited to welcome Lesley to FreedomWorks. She brings both a philosophical understanding of, and personal commitment to, the ideas of liberty. Equally important; she wants to make things happen. We have ambitious plans for our institution in the years ahead, and Lesley is a critical member of the team that will achieve our goals.”
