Following Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid’s (D-Nev.) objection to S. 2912, the Trickett Wendler Right To Try Act, FreedomWorks CEO Adam Brandon commented:
“Harry Reid’s objection to Sen. Ron Johnson’s right-to-try bill is partisan politics at its worst. The idea of right-to-try is something that deserves serious consideration in the Senate. Right-to-try would allow these patients to use experimental and innovative treatments when there are no other options available.”
“Peoples’ lives should not be used as pawns by Harry Reid. It’s disgusting that he would put his own agenda above patients and families who are struggling to deal with serious illnesses. The minority leader should be ashamed of himself.”
