Help Stop Tax Hikes in Oregon

We have all seen the headlines. With one out eight Oregonians out of work, Oregon’s working families and businesses are continuing to struggle. And despite the worst economic conditions since the Great Depression, Oregon’s elected officials have voted to push through over $1 billion in permanent taxes on businesses and individuals – the largest tax increase in Oregon history!

The Taxpayer Defense Project and Oregon Freedom Works are announcing a new segment of county activist meetings taking place throughout various regions of the state over the next few weeks to discuss Measures 66 and 67.

“It is critical to the health of Oregon’s economy that we defeat these two massive job killing taxes,” says Russ Walker, director of Taxpayer Defense Project. “These taxes target small and family businesses, the engine of our economy. They target the middle class, and those who need the most help today, family owned businesses who are already having a hard time staying afloat and paying their employees.”

The activist meetings are a time for supporters and interested members of the community to organize together, learn more about what Taxpayer Defense Project and Freedomworks are doing in the state and to determine the next steps in their grassroots program and discuss what visions they have for Oregon.

The meetings will be held according to the following schedule:
