Key Vote YES on the Confirmation of Andrew Puzder to Serve as Labor Secretary

On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your senators and ask them to vote YES on the confirmation of Andrew Puzder to serve as the secretary of the Department of Labor.

Few people in America understand the hurdles that businesses face more than Andrew Puzder. After being named CEO of CKE Restaurants in June 2000, Puzder turned the then-fledgling enterprise into a nationwide success that employs more than 75,000 people.

Over-regulation and excessive government-mandated wages are a challenge for American businesses, workers, and consumers. Puzder understands the devastating impact the regulatory state can have on the success of businesses and the future they provide for the American worker.

By nominating a business leader like Andrew Puzder to run the Department of Labor, President Donald Trump is making a refreshing change from the Obama-era, when union cronyism led to the creation of policies that undermined the American worker and the economy.

FreedomWorks will count this vote when calculating our Scorecard for 2017 and reserves the right to score any related votes. The scorecard is used to determine eligibility for the FreedomFighter Award, which recognizes Members of the House and Senate who consistently vote to support economic freedom and individual liberty.

Sincerely,
