    Matt Kibbe on Media Bias

FreedomWorks President and CEO Matt Kibbe was on Fox & Friends discussing President Obama's CBS interview. Not surprisingly, CBS did not touch on key issues like ObamaCare or the IRS scandal.

Hilarious. Media bias my foot. Look- we all know conservatives have been feeding us all a line about the "liberal media" and whatnot, but ironically its the right that has for the most part been the most successful at blanketing the airwaves and cable news with their brand of utterly one-sided right leaning propaganda.

The tactic you refer to is alive and well today. Obama and Holder both routinely attack their critics as "racists" who only oppose the President because of the color of his skin, regardless of the obvious failures of their policies or corruption in their administration.

I doubt anyone would argue that Fox news (as you say, the largest cable news network) leans right in its coverage, but it does make some effort to portray both sides of the argument. The other 4 major news networks (CBS, (MS)NBC, ABC and CNN) all show a clear bias towards the left and frequently censor any opposing points of view. Did it ever occur to you that the popularity of Fox is largely due to the fact that they provide an alternative point of view missing from the rest of the mainstream media?

I find it funny how "paying for the benefit of having their points of view heard" is only "bias" when it represents a conservative point of view. I suppose that when George Soros and other liberal big-money donors fund propaganda organizations like Media Matters it is completely acceptable since they are motivated solely by their altruism, right?

BTW - Your dismissal of all criticism as "blaming liberals" overlooks the rather obvious point that they have been in power for the last 5 years and might actually be responsible for the sorry state of affairs in our country.

I was talking in general about the right's tendency to proclaim anything on the news that they don't agree with as being biased. There is a historical context to this" McCarthy used this tactic to great success. Even when he was grossly incorrect, when the media called him out on it, he called them "commies" or whatever. The fact of the matter is that the airwaves and the largest cable news network in the country are all heavily right-leaning. Furthermore, its more recently come to light that various tea party affiliates have actually paid considerable sums of money to some of the most famous talk show hosts. So in other words- they are paying for the benefit of having their points of view heard. If that's not bias, I don't know what is. Right wing media is more or less a joke anyway. Its of course a marketing machine with a reliable and steady formula: Pick something to discuss and simply blame "Liberals" for it all...

Once again you fail to address any of the specific points addressed in the video and provide your typical empty left-wing propaganda talking points. How do you explain the complete lack of coverage of major scandals like the "Fast and Furious" gun running operation, the death of a U.S. Ambassador (historically considered an act of war) in Benghazi and the blatant use of the IRS to harass political opponents? If a Republican were President when ANY ONE of these scandals were uncovered there would have been 24 hour news coverage for months and probably an impeachment.

BTW - You might want to ask Sharyl Attkisson about bias at CBS.
