North Carolina FreedomWorks Kicks Off Voter Education Campaign

On the weekend of October 3rd, North Carolina FreedomWorks kicked off our 2008 Voter Education Campaign.  The “Highway 70 Sweep” resulted in the distribution of more than 7,000 voter education handouts!  The “Sweep” began in Johnson County where activists passed out education information about the N.C. Senate and Gubernatorial races.  The group next stopped in Wayne, to pass out information about the N.C. Senate and N.C. House races.  Craven followed as activists armed with N.C Senate and N.C. House materials attended a local high school homecoming football game.  The final stop was the true end of Hwy 70 – Carteret County, where activists enjoyed the North Carolina Seafood Festival and distributed voter education information about the Presidential and Gubernatorial races.

This two day voter education extravaganza was true testament to the strength and determination of the FreedomWorks grassroots army of volunteers!
