Obamanomics

So, Barack Obama has released his new tax plan. And, in a sign of how much the Democratic party has had to back away, at least rhetorically, from its old tax habits, he name-checks Ronald Reagan, a man who has been converted, rightly or wrongly, in recent years to the great shining symbol of low taxes and small government. But of course, he does it in the process of attempting to justify tax hikes. Ponder that one for a moment.

And then he goes on to decry class warfare, but makes sure to follow that up with a stat about the difference between CEO pay and worker pay, as if "workers" were some vast, suffering, homogeneous underclass being oppressed by the earnings of a handful of malevolent corporate executives. Nope, no class warfare here!
