Democrat
Benny Smith

These candidates, and over 30 activists, attended the meeting.

Pictured below, Tommy Melton CSE activist and Columbus Town Councilman, addressing how the current County Commissioners had broken an agreement on the water situation in the county and how Columbus is opposing the waste transfer fee.

Pictured below, Benny Smith, CSE Polk Co. Chairman and now Democrat nominee, addresses the CSE chapter on what the current county commission is doing wrong:

1) signing contracts and giving salary bonuses that will possibly force a tax increase next year

2) county runnning a water line to upscale neighborhood and taxing the rest of the county to pay for it
