Poll: 40% of Small Businesses Have Frozen Hiring due to ObamaCare

According to a new Gallup poll, “41 percent of small-business owners have frozen hiring, while 19 percent have ‘reduced the number of employees [they] have in [their] business as a specific result of the Affordable Care Act [Obamacare].’” It stated how only 9% of businesses thought ObamaCare would be good for their business. As well, 18% of small business owners say they have cut worker’s hours down to part-time status, and 24% are considering dropping insurance coverage. As the weekly standard comments: “Small businesses are a major driver of job growth, and this Gallup poll helps shed light on why job growth has been so abysmal during the Obamacare era.” This article also notes that throughout the last years of Preisdent Reagan all the way through President Bush Jr. youth employment has always been above 60%. Under Obama it has always been less than 60%.
