“Protesters urge West Haven to resist implementing common core curriculum in schools”

On Monday night a group of grassroots activists in West Haven, CT armed with signs and handouts tried to urge City Council to delay the implementation of Common Core. They successfully argued that the new standards would essentially treat every student the same and it collects data. The groups goal, along with Jessica Chiong, who is a Republican school board candidate is to get everyone to come to the next “Board of Education meeting to say no for spending the money next year.”
