Rep. Jody Hice Signs FreedomWorks’ Pro-Growth Pledge

FreedomWorks today announced that Rep. Jody Hice (R-Ga.) signed the Pro-Growth Pledge. The pledge is a statement of principles showing the signer’s commitment to economic growth through fundamental tax reform, reductions in spending, regulatory reform, sound money, energy freedom, and patient-centered health care.

Rep. Hice joins Reps. Mick Mulvaney (R-S.C.), Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.), Randy Weber (R-Texas), Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.), John Fleming (R-La.), David Schweikert (R-Ariz.), Mark Meadows (R-N.C.), Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.), Dave Brat (R-Va.), and Mark Sanford (R-S.C.) as signers of FreedomWorks’ Pro-Growth Pledge. The full text of FreedomWorks’ Pro-Growth Pledge is available here.

“FreedomWorks’ Pro-Growth Pledge sums up much of what I’ve been working on in Congress. It’s a positive agenda that will benefit every American through free market principles and limited government,” said Rep. Jody Hice (R-Ga.) “The big government policies of the president and congressional Democrats – higher taxes, increased spending, more debt, and crippling regulations – are hurting businesses and consumers. The path forward isn’t to double down on these failed policies; it’s to restore economic growth by getting government out of the way.”

“I look forward to working with FreedomWorks and their grassroots community in Georgia to make this agenda a reality in Congress,” Rep. Hice added.

Rep. Hice, who has a 100 percent lifetime score on FreedomWorks’ Congressional Scorecard, signed the Pro-Growth Pledge on Wednesday during an event in Monroe, Georgia. FreedomWorks CEO Adam Brandon recognized Rep. Hice as a principled conservative and defender of pro-growth economic policies that will put America back on the right track.

“Rep. Hice has only been in Congress for a short time, but he has already established himself as a strong supporter of pro-growth economic policies and fiscal conservatism. His perfect score on FreedomWorks’ Congressional Scorecard is a testament to his commitment to policies that benefit all Americans, not just special interests on K Street,” said FreedomWorks CEO Adam Brandon. “Rep. Hice has shown a commitment to a roadmap to economic freedom through tax reform, regulatory reform, and reduced deficits and debt. FreedomWorks is proud to stand on the front lines with such a principled conservative in the fight for prosperity and freedom.”
