Saturday: Sunny, 75 degrees, 100% chance of protesting

We’re getting a lot of calls and emails from folks who couldn’t make it Tuesday and are coming in this weekend.  Here are a few resources that should help:

  • Whip Count: TheHill.com is keeping a good whip count going.  Please download, print, and share.
  • House Office locations and phone numbers: click here, print, and share.

Where to be:

  • All day: visiting House offices.  Start with your own Congressman, and then hit the target list above.  Be polite, be firm, and speak from the heart.
  • Noon: As Tabitha wrote, Rep. Bachmann, actor and activist Jon Voight, and others will be gathering on the West Front Lawn for one last rally.
  • 4:00 pm: President Obama has invited the House Dems to the White House for some last minute arm-twisting.  It would be cool if there was a large group there to meet them.  If you’ve already made the trip to D.C., stay for the meeting.  There will probably be media there and this will be a good opportunity to show the rest of the country that we aren’t giving up.

If you can’t come to D.C., tomorrow is a good day for some impromptu protests outside district offices and candlelight vigils.  Be sure to invite all your friends, have your friends invite more of their friends, and call the local newspaper and television stations cover the event.

Be sure to check the blog and our Issues Development page for the latest – you’ll find good talking points and information throughout.
