Senate Kowtowed to Obama on WOTUS Rule

Following unsuccessful action in the Senate to override President Barack Obama’s veto of a resolution of disapproval of the Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule, FreedomWorks Chief Economist Wayne Brough commented:

“The Waters of the United States rule is just the latest example of the runaway regulations promulgated by the EPA, including the so-called Clear Power Plan and a new ozone rule that threaten our economy through jobs losses and higher costs to consumers.”

“WOTUS is a vast expansion of federal power that will have a significant impact on Americans across the country. It will lead to very dangerous intrusions into the property rights of landowners. Unfortunately, Senate Democrats kowtowed to President Obama and the EPA.”
