Senator Inhofe’s Speech on Utility MACT Tonight!

Tonight Senator James Inhofe (R-Oklahoma), ranking member of the Senate Committee on Environmental and Public Works will be speaking on the Utility MACT, his Joint- Resolution 37 to stop it, and YouTube videos that highlight top EPA officials acknowledging the Utility MACT and other EPA regulations, are a war on coal.  They have knowingly pushed these regulations through, even though they will have devastating effects for communities across the country whose economy relies on the industry.

A video was released today of EPA official, Curt Spalding, saying “if you were a coal plant you got a big problem”.  He also goes on to admit that Lisa Jackson, EPA Administrator, knows that various communities from Pennsylvania to West Virginia depend on coal for jobs, yet is determined to move forward with President Obama’s energy policies.   This video of Mr. Spalding shows how out of touché the EPA is with American citizens who are struggling to pay their bills.   This attitude is a continuation of then presidential candidate Obama’s response to a reporter for the San Francisco Chronicle’s question, where he more or less says that people can build and invest in coal plants, but they will bankrupt themselves trying to comply with EPA regulations.  He also admits that the revenues gained from these coal plants will be used to subsidize solar, wind, biodiesel and other alternative energy tactics.

There is also another video, which further implicates the EPA and their agenda to kill fossil fuels.  Former EPA Region 6 Administrator Al Armendariz stating the EPA’s “general philosophy” is to “crucify” and “make examples” of current American energy manufacturers.  Armendariz has since resigned, but on Wednesday will be testifying before the House Energy and Commerce Committee on the EPA’s agenda to kill off fossil fuels.  The EPA is clearly living up to its far left agenda and its “reputation for abuse”.

Senator Inhofe will be addressing his plan to stop President Obama and the EPA’s war on coal and other fossil fuels.  The Senate will voting within the next two weeks on  resolution a resolution of disapproval for the EPA’s Utility MACT.  Senator Inhofe only needs a simple majority of those present and voting to reject this malicious rule and ensure American’s ability to obtain affordable and reliable energy continues.  You can follow @InhofePress on twitter for more up-to-date information on the speech.

Please call your Senators and encourage them to be present for the vote and help stop the Obama administration’s unchecked power grab.
