State Rep. Baker Headlines Stokes County CSE Meeting

Stokes County CSE held their monthly meeting on Feb. 25, 2004, to discuss advancing the Freedom Agenda in North Carolina.

Pictured are activists woking on a project to send letters to Sec. of Agriculture Ann Veneman asking the USDA to increase the amount of timber that is being cut in the National Forest, Applician District. The Ranger has supressed the amount of timber harvested despite the need for additional trimming to reduce fire hazards and improve forest health.

Stokes CSE as well as other western NC CSE Chapters are doing this as just one project to kick off 2004.

State Rep. Rex Baker also spoke to the group on the importance of grassroots activity and how important it is to come to CSE Day and see your legislators.
