The Supreme Court Decision On Obamacare: What Happened, and Where Do We Go From Here? Part 3

    In Part 1 of this series, we took a look at the Obamacare decision. Part 2 examined how devastating the effects of Obamacare will be on America. In Part 3, we ask the question;

So, Where Do We Go From Here?

WE MUST REPEAL THIS BILL. And the only way to do that is to elect the most conservative candidates possible to take over the Senate and the White House, and to extend the conservative majority in the House.

FreedomWorks reports the following reaction from its members:

We have been flooded with emails and phone calls and website traffic since the SupremeCourt decision this morning. Every single one of our members that reached out so far is disappointed, but fired up and re-energized for the fights ahead leading into November.

This is the same bait and switch employed by FDR to slip Social Security past the people and the court.  BUT, the difference today is that ‘We the People’ know exactly what the Obama administration did -- and we know who needs to be fired.

We expect to see a stronger, more sophisticated fiscal conservative Get Out The Vote machine this cycle than we did in 2010, and we are hitting the ground running right away to send a strong message to the ballot box in November.

Make no mistake - the Tea Party has been reenergized and its spirit is renewed. It seems that people have been waiting on the sidelines until this decision was handed down. When the Supreme Court surprised us all and upheld most of Obamacare, the reaction was fast, loud and concerted. Many observers believe that the new wave of the Tea Party will bigger and more organized than anything we've yet seen.

    NEXT STEPS

Republicans must strike while the iron is hot and immediately begin efforts to repeal the law in Congress and replace it with a patient-centered system, which is the most effective and compassionate option on the table for health care reform today.

Incidentally, the Senate can repeal a tax with a simple majority (51 votes, rather than the customarily required 60) via “budget reconciliation.”

The 2001 and 2003 tax cuts were passed via reconciliation.

ObamaCare itself, with its 20 taxes, was passed via reconciliation.

Without a strong grassroots constituency holding government accountable to its decisions, it’s doubtful the individual mandate would have been challenged in the first place. For that, activists across the country should be very proud. We are not going away. It’s time to double down on spreading the message that President Obama’s individual mandate is an unprecedented infringement on constitutional liberty, and to take that message to the ballot box in November.

The bottom line is that REPEAL CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED. Whether you're an original Tea Party member or you've been a casual observer, if you wish to save this great republic, it's time to get active. We The People have done this before, and we can do it again. Remember the town halls in 2009? Remember when Obama had a Democrat majority working with him in both the House and Senate, and barely was able to jam this bill through for approval? This was not that long ago, and when we melted the phone lines in DC we had a direct effect on Congress.

FreedomWorks is launching a new campaign over the upcoming holiday weekend: Declare Your Independence! A full scale effort to organize and engage even more patriots in this battle for individual liberty over despotism.

Find your local Tea Party organization, sign up at FreedomWorks.org. Get active, get involved, and join the fight.  The threat to our republic is real, and there is no time to waste.

One final note, specifically on the Presidential race: If you are not satisfied with the makeup of the courts, it is time to think long and hard about which candidate you'd rather have appointing Supreme Court judges. And not just at this level, but all levels of the federal court system.

"When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny." ~ Thomas Jefferson

We have done well the last couple of years and now is not the time to slack off. One of the worst fears as a Marine in a defensive position is when you see a red star cluster burst overhead and hear the command Fire Final Protective Fires." This means the enemy is on your door step and everything needs to be brought to bear in order to repel this attack. Then you locate, close with the enemy and defeat them through fire and maneuver. Folks, the red star cluster has burst overhead and the command, "Fire Final Protective Fires" has been ordered! It's time to fight with everything in our hands. God Bless America and Semper Fidelis!
