Tim Penny to Headline NH CSE Social Security Town Hall Meeting

New Hampshire Citizens for a Sound Economy (NH CSE) State Director Chuck McGee announced today that former Democratic Congressman Tim Penny of Minnesota will visit New Hampshire on July 30th to headline the second event of NH CSE’s Choose Your Future Tour. The Social Security Town Hall Meeting will take place in Laconia with local columnist and radio host Niel Young helping to promote the event.

NH CSE and For Our Grandchildren have partnered in New Hampshire to help inject Social Security reform with personal retirement accounts (PRAs) into the national debate. In addition to questioning presidential candidates on the issue, the partnership will host a series of debates, forums and meetings across New Hampshire between now and the January 2004 presidential primary.

“NH CSE and For Our Grandchildren are committed to persuading presidential candidates to support Social Security reform and raising the level of debate,” McGee said. “We are excited that former Congressman and 2002 candidate for Minnesota Governor Tim Penny has committed to coming to New Hampshire to help us educate and recruit Social Security reform advocates,” said McGee.

The Town Hall Meeting, hosted by NH CSE and For Our Grandchildren, is open to the public and will be held at the Opechee Park Club House, Wednesday, July 30th. Presentations begin at 6:30pm. Admission is free and light refreshments will be offered. For more information or to RSVP please call 223-6817 or email Chuck McGee at cmgee@cse.org.
