Two Excellent Events on May 2nd for your consideration

CAVENDISH, VT — SOCIAL SECURITY FORUM. At the Cavendish Elementary School, 7:30 p.m., FreedomWorks-Vermont State Director Rob Roper, and Mike Quaid of Vermonters for Tax Reform will take on Greg Marchildon from AARP and Jennifer Nelson, representing Congressman Bernie Sanders’ office over the issue of Social Security Reform. The moderator for the event will be former Windsor County Senator Will Hunter. Ludlow Community Access TV will be filming the forum for later broadcast. This event is sponsored by Cavendish Grange and Black River Area League of Women Voters.

RUTLAND, VT — UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE FORUM At the College of St. Joseph, 7:00 p.m., a panel of elected officials and experts will answer public concerns about the proposed government-run, taxpayer-financed “Green Mountain Health Plan.” The panel will include Sen. Kevin Mullin, Rep. Joe Baker, Rep. Chris Louras, Dr. Bart Bonazinga, and others to be announced. This event is sponsored by the Rutland County Republican Committee.

FreedomWorks encourages all those who are able to attend these events to do so. Both of these issues contain significant threats to budgets and our freedom to make the most intimate, personal decisions ourselves. The opposition is well organized and highly motivated to seize the power and the money to control our health and our financial security at the times in our lives when we are most vulnerable. We must be equally energized in standing up to preserve our liberty, our hard earned money, and what is ultimately right.
