What is an Entrepreneur?

Being an entrepreneur is a rewarding and challenging endeavor. It an endeavor that most people will never take simply because they are afraid of challenges, hard work, have a lack of ambition, and are followers and not leaders.

Entrepreneurs are people of vision they see the problems, and the possible solutions, and they are not afraid to take the necessary actions to get the job done.  They are very ambitious leaders, willing to take the lead, and strive for the best results that they can achieve.

Why do people become an Entrepreneur?

Some people can not find regular jobs, for one reason or another. My situation is that I have a back problem (5 messed up disks) and can not work a regular job. I can do just about anything that a regular job requires but not all the time, so I need a job that will allow me to work under the circumstances where I will not injury myself any further. With the type of work I do, I can pick and choose my work assignments, when and where I work, and the type of work I will be doing based upon my physical limitations.

Some people are born leaders and not good followers, so they want a business so they can be in charge and are able to make the big decisions. If this is the only reason that they get into business, these type of people usually fail. They fail because they lack the essential qualities and skills needed to succeed.

Some people want more for their families and themselves. A regular job just will not provide enough for them to this. Many Entrepreneurs have learned a simple truth, a J.O.B means "Just Over Broke". As a result of learning this, some Entrepreneurs start a part-time business at first and keep their regular job, until their business is big enough to support them and their families properly. They know that their job means they are earning a living and that the part-time business (and future full-time business) is for building a lifestyle they have always dreamed of for themselves and their family.

Lifestyle

A job is just for paying the bills (normal monthly bills) and after they are paid there is little to nothing left for the lifestyle that we want to live. Lifestyle is the things that we enjoy and want to do when we are not working.

Many people have to work 2 and 3 jobs just to pay the bills, and as a result they have no time left to do the things that they want and like to do.
1. Spend time with their family - watching and enjoying their children and grandchildren grow up. They also want to spend as much time as possible with their parents and spouse.
2. Some people like to Read Books and watch TV. Some like to Write books, poems, songs, etc.
3. Some want o to travel, go on vacations and see different things throughout the country and around the world.
4. Some like to exercise, hike, swim, play sports, and play card games, etc.

Theses are examples of lifestyles that people want to enjoy, but can not with a regular job. These people become an Entrepreneur and try to build a lifestyle, where their bills are paid and they live and enjoy the life they want to. Many of these people (if not most) have more than one source of income to insure they have a stable lifestyle to look forward to.

Am I an Entrepreneur?

Yes, I am. I want a lifestyle to where I can afford to do what I want to do, when and where I want to. I want this, but not at the expense of doing something illegal, immoral,or unethical, and not at the expense of someone getting hurt in the process. I want enough to provide for my family the way I need to, and the rest goes to the Work of the Church and to helping other people anyway I can. That is who I am, and that is why I am an Entrepreneur.

To your success,
