WI CSE to Host U.S. Senate Candidate Forum on June 10th

Kenosha, WI – All four major candidates vying for the Republican nomination to challenge U.S. Senator Russ Feingold will participate in a Candidate Forum hosted by Citizens for a Sound Economy on June 10 in Kenosha.

State Senator Bob Welch, construction executive Tim Michels, attorney Robert Gerald Lorge, and auto dealer Russ Darrow will square off in a candidate forum that will be moderated by Waukesha Freeman Government Affairs reporter and host of Shakin’ Up Kenosha, Dennis Shook. The event is scheduled for June 10 in Kenosha at the Brat Stop/Parkway Chateau and will begin at 7:30 PM. U.S. Senator Russ Feingold will be unable to attend.

The format of the event will allow for the candidates to field questions from the audience with timed responses, thus giving the audience an opportunity to interact with the candidates and hear firsthand their positions on issues that matter to the people of southern Wisconsin.

“I’m very pleased that the candidates have agreed to participate in this event. I think it will be a tremendous opportunity for the people of Wisconsin to get answers that they otherwise might not get in television commercials or radio ads,” noted Cameron Sholty, Wisconsin State Director for Citizens for a Sound Economy. “This is a true grassroots event and I hope the candidates will take strong stands on the issues facing America, like the pending insolvency of Social Security, rampant lawsuit abuse, the need for enhanced welfare reform, reform of the tax code, and school choice.”
