In several recents decisions, and active cases, the Judicial Branch appears to be coming to its collective senses and restraining the unconstitutional expansion of government's already unsustainable power. Whether it's the NSA's invasion of our privacy, the disregard for religious liberty under Obamacare, or the $800 billion tax increase levied by the IRS, judges seem to be saying enough is enough.

US District Court Judge Rules NSA Has to Stop Collecting Data, For Now

They might still be monitoring your phone calls to mom and bartering for gold with your World of Warcraft character, but for the foreseeable future, the NSA will have to shut down its metadata collection program...at least according to US District Court Judge Richard Leon, who today approved an injunction against the operation pending the outcome of litigation.

White House and IRS Pass Around Private Taxpayer Info

A report in The Daily Caller should scare each and every taxpayer. An investigation by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee found that IRS officials Sarah Hall Ingram and Lois Lerner emailed confidential taxpayer information to the White House. This is the IRS that has persecuted Tea Party groups and it appears the illegal interactions between the IRS and White House had to do with challenges to Obamacare by religious organizations.
